| At the start of each Learning Unit, the children will be given a home learning sheet, explaining how to complete the home learning task. They will be given regular opportunities to share their progress and find out more about how to be successful with the home learning , during the learning unit. The completed home learning will be due in at the end of the learning unit. However, there may be milestones along the way where aspects of the home learning are needed to support in school learning. |

Parents are encouraged to take an active role in encouraging their children and helping them stay on schedule, but should not 'take over', as an important part of the experience is the development of independence in their child. Should the child need resources or further assistance these can both be obtained from their class teacher. | |
